Day 1

New Delhi

Day 2

New Delhi
Embark on your tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit Old Delhi covering the Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Ashoka Pillar and the mile-long Chandni Chowk bazaar. Afternoon tour New Delhi, drive along Rajpath to view the Parliament House, the President’s House and India Gate. Visit the Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar and Birla Temple. JAYPE SIDDARTH/TAJ MAHAL (B)
Day 3

Varanasi
This morning fly to Varanasi, India’s holiest city, located on the sacred Ganges River. Upon arrival you are met and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, visit the stupas, ruins and museum at Sarnath, site of Buddha’s first sermon. RAMADA PLAZA/TAJ GANGES (B)
Day 4

Khajuraho
Enjoy an early morning boat ride on the Ganges and see the beautiful sunrise, followed by a walking tour of the old city. Later fly to Khajuraho, capital of the 9th to the 13th century . Day 5

Bandhavgarh
Visit the principal Eastern group of Jain temples this morning, more modest and less ornate than the Western Group. This cluster reflects the simplicity inherent in Jainism. Later, drive to Bandhavgarh, which is the home of the white tiger and other species; such as Indian bison, sambar deer, barking deer and blue bull. Day 7

Kanha
After a morning game drive in Bandhavgarh, travel to Kanha, the original country Rudyard Kipling so vividly described in The Jungle Book. Kanha is home to some 22 species of mammals. Most commonly spotted are langur, jackals, wild pigs, spotted deer, swamp deer, sambar and black bucks. You may also see tigers, Indian hares, wild dogs, barking deer, Indian fox, sloth bear, striped hyena, panthers, mouse deer, Indian bison, jungle cats, four-horned antelope, blue bulls, ratel and Indian porcupines. Kanha also has 200 species of birds. Spend two days game viewing and bird watching in Kanha, a true haven for the animal and avian population. NATURE HERITAGE/VAN VILA (B,L,D)

Day 9

Mumbai
