Dallas is the epitome of big-Texas charm. Mr. Dallas and Tennessee lawyer John Neely Bryan set up a trading post in the area in 1841. Since then, Dallas has remained a center of successful trading; cattle, oil and recently technology and services. Tarnished forever as the unfortunate local of John F. Kennedy's horrific assassination in the 60's, the city houses a wonderful monument and museum in remembrance of the late president.
Despite the 'old' money and a wonderful arts scene, Dallas has an alternative side in the funky Deep Ellum district. Right next door is 'cowtown' Fort Worth where a hand shake is as good as any contract and cowboy hats and rodeos are commonplace. The sophisticated city was immortalized by the long-running TV drama
Dallas and is now one of the most urban areas in the world.
