Cortez, Colorado is a small town in south west colorado. the main draw to this town is its location to the grand Mesa Verde National Park which promintantly features Indian cliff dwellings and astonishing natural beauty. The other items of interest nearby is the San Juan National Forest, and the BLM lands in the area including Canyon of the Ancients National Monument, and both the Ute Mountain Indian Reservation and the Navajo Indian Reservation.
