Upper Tampa Bay Park is a 2,144 acre county park and preserve located in western Hillsborough County. The primary feature of the park is a 600 acre peninsula on Old Tampa Bay. The land in and surrounding the park was home to Florida Indian tribes before the coming of Europeans. For the observent paddler or hiker, Native American shell mounds can be seen at several locations throughout the park.
