Enjoy this grand old city that was founded by Pierre Laclede, and was the host of the 1904 Worlds' Fair. See such sites as the "Gateway Arch." This stainless steel Structure towers 630 feet into the air, and spans 630 feet in width: Which makes it the tallest national monument. Other sites include: Laclede's Landing, the historic Soulard district, Union Station and Forest Park which was the site of the 1904 Worlds Fair. There will be at stop at the St. Louis Basilica (New Cathedral) Allowing you the opportunity to view the largest collection of mosaic in the western hemisphere. The final stop will be at the Missouri Botanical Gardens, also, know as "Shaw's Gardens"; named after its creator, Henry Shaw. Here you will enjoy acres of horticultural displays and the history of its making.
