Taliesin West

Taliesin West Approx. Time: 2 hours
Activity Level: Easy to Moderate

Taliesin West, a historical landmark, is Frank Lloyd Wright's desert architectural masterpiece. Wright built Taliesin West, his 600-acre winter home in the foothills of Sonoran desert's McDowell Mountains, from materials found at the site -- rocks, sand, and redwood. When touring the building it is difficult to distinguish indoors from outdoors because it was designed to meld so perfectly with its surroundings. Currently, Taliesin West is inhabited by artists and architects determined to carry on Wright's legacies.
