The Hamptons is a lively place for the casual (usually wealthy) vacationer, however it has become a high class Hollywood area. Expensive homes and white beaches line this small lot of land.

Approximately 300 years ago during the time of the Puritans, small groups of farmers and fisherman settled in this town. This remained their way of life until the 20th century when the town began to attract wealthy families, artists and writers as a refuge from the city.

Today, reminders of history in the Hamptons include Clinton Academy, Town House, the Marine Museum, and the Mulford Farm.
