City Hall Approx. Time: 0 hours
Activity Level: Easy to Moderate

Finished in 1812, the New York City Hall building is the oldest in the nation that still houses its original governmental functions. The rotunda is a New York City landmark and with good reason - presidents Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant both lay in state here. The French Renaissance exterior, American-Georgian interior and extensive collection of 18th, 19th and 20th century paintings make it appealing for architecture and art lovers.
