The Minnesota Timberwolves is a relatively new franchise that was inducted into the NBA in 1989 as part of an expansion that also created Orlando, Miami, and Charlotte NBA teams. The Timberwolves were a little slow to start, but have been progressively becoming stars, even making it to the playoffs in '99.
