Your guided journey will begin in Old City Park, The Historical Village of Dallas, where your experience will be with a humorously unscrupulous land agent who assumes that you are there to purchase land. Listen to the fabulous tales of the ease and wealth of life in pioneer Dallas with a skeptical ear! Participants soon forget that they are 21st century visitors and find themselves joining in the fun and banter with their newfound friends from 1861. Don't be surprised to encounter authentic, historical characters who, on any given day, might include bank robbers, gun slingers, lawmen, and maybe, Indian raiders! You'll love this fun and interactive tour. History will repeat itself with a visit to Historical Plaza, where you'll learn about historical contributions of such landmarks as the JFK Memorial, "Old Red" Courthouse, and the John Neely Bryan Log Cabin-founder of Dallas. Your tour will conclude with an interior, guided narration and viewing of the grandest Queen Victorian home, built in 1899 on the Wilson block, then continue with viewings of extraordinary 20th century mansions built in various styles along the grand boulevards of the Swiss and Wilson Historic Districts.
