Oxford - ancient seat of learning, birthplace of Oxfam, Mensa and the Mini, that iconic British car. The City of Dreaming Spires, is famous the world over for its Universities and place in History. For over 800 years, it has been a home to royalty and scholars, and since the 9th century an established town, although people are known to have lived in the area for thousands of years. Nowadays, the city is a bustling cosmopolitan city with a mixture of ancient and modern. Here your guide will take you on a walking tour past some historic buildings or museums and include a visit into one of the ancient colleges. During your tour you will hear about life at Oxford, both past and present, and about some students who have studied there, including Bill Clinton in the 70’s.

Stratford upon Avon - situated in the heart of England. Here you will visit both the birthplace of William Shakespeare and the cottage where he courted Anne Hathaway in the village of Shottery. You will have time to explore this charming market town with its variety of shops, eating places and 16th century buildings. Stratford is the home of the Royal Shakespeare Company, which regularly performs plays written by ‘the Bard’ in one of the three theatres of which Stratford is proud.
