Oxford - Your full day tour will travel over the Chiltern Hills to Oxford. Look out for the Red Kite once on the ‘at risk’ list. Our first stop is at one of England’s most ancient university cities, Oxford. Here your guide will take you on a walking tour past some of the famous university and college buildings during which you will hear stories of academic life and the various people who have been privileged to study here like Bill Clinton. It was Oxford that inspired Lewis Carroll to write the enchanting tales of “Alice in Wonderland”.

Stratford-upon-Avon - Here, you will visit William Shakespeare’s birthplace, which gives a fascinating insight into life, as it was when he was a child. This tour will give you time to explore this charming market town with its variety of shops, eating places and historic sixteenth century half-timbered buildings.

Warwick Castle is renowned as the finest medieval castle in England; built on the banks of the River Avon. The Castle was begun by King William I (the Conqueror) in 1068, and has been an important fortress ever since, taking its rightful place in English history. You will be able to visit the Waxwork exhibition, which depicts life in the castle over the centuries, the State Apartments, dungeons, and the rampart walk with its magnificent views over the river and surrounding countryside. During the summer months you may have the opportunity to watch Jousting, Falconry and Archery, which shows the skills of soldiers of yesteryear.
