Sutton Park is a charming example of early Georgian architecture, built of mellow brick in 1730. The house contains beautiful 18th century furniture, paintings mostly from Buckingham Palace, and an important collection of porcelain. Enjoy the magnificent plaster-work by Cortese and the very rare Chinese wallpaper. The house is full of 18th century treasures all put together with great style to make a most inviting lived-in home. Winner of the 1999 Yorkshire in Bloom Competition, the gardens are a haven of peace and tranquility. The herbaceous and rose borders are full of rare and interesting plants.
