Tour the peaceful ruins, in a beautiful setting, of the extensive palace of the powerful medieval Winchester Bishops. The Wolvesey Castle was frequently visited by medieval and Tudor monarchs and was the scene of Philip of Spain and Mary Tudor's wedding feast. This is a favorite (and ideal) spot for picnics.
