Great Hall

Great Hall Approx. Time: 2 hours
Activity Level: Easy to Moderate

The Great Hall features `King Arthur's Round Table' and a 13th century herb garden named after Queen Eleanor. The only surviving part of Winchester Castle, once home to the Domesday Book, this 13th century hall was once the center of court and government life. The round table, closely associated with the legendary King Arthur, has hung here for over 600 years. Queen Eleanor's garden, a faithful representation of a medieval garden is located in the back.
