The thatched farmhouse of Anne Hathaway before her marriage to William Shakespeare, with its picturesque cottage garden, is known the world over. It contains furniture which belonged to the Hathaway descendants, including the 'courting settle'. There is an attractive gift and garden shop. Shakespeare Tree Garden nearby, and peaceful Shottery Brook and Jubilee Walks.
