Head north to Liverpool, the Beatles homeland, and see the Cavern Club, Paul and John's family homes, Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane, the superb 'Beatles Story' and a host of other related sites. You leave London Euston Station at 07:00 and arrive at Liverpool Lime Street Station at 09:50.
You'll have free time to explore the restored Albert Dock area and visit The Beatles Story exhibition. The Albert Dock area hosts a fantastic shopping arcade (full of souvenirs and Beatles/Rock & Roll memorabilia) and several museums including the Museum of Liverpool Life (where you can see a painting or two by Stuart Sutcliffe.) In the afternoon catch the "Magical Mystery Tour" dedicated to the Beatles. Visit the Cavern Club, Penny Lane and other landmarks made famous by the 'Fab Four'. This coach tour lasts approximately two hours. You depart Liverpool Lime Street station at 5:45 pm and return to London at approximately 8:40 pm.
