Loch Ness

Twenty-four miles long and a mile wide in places, it reaches a depth of some 700 feet. Loch Ness is famous for its legendary monster Nessie. You can easily drive or cycle around the loch or go on a bus tour. The complete circuit is 70 miles and can take a whole day. Boat cruises can be taken from the northern end, the middle or the southern end of Loch Ness.
