Fossil Grove

Situated in Victoria Park, the Fossil Grove is a 300 million year old forest which was uncovered by accident during the construction of a pathway through a disused quarry at the western end of the park. Visitors are able to view the remains of the fossilized forest in the spring and summer of each year.
