The first house to be built in the Royal Crescent by John Wood the Younger, and a fine example of Palladian architecture. The Crescent was begun in 1767 and completed in 1774. The house was given to the Bath Preservation Trust in 1968 and both the exterior and interior have been accurately restored. Visitors can see a grand town house of the late 18th century with authentic furniture, paintings and carpets.
