Activity Level: Easiest
The Basque Archaeological, Ethnographic and Historical Museum of Bilbao is located in the old quarter of the City, beside the church of the "Santos Juanes".
In addition to the intrinsic value of the building itself, with the cloister as the articulating axis of the house, is the wealth of the collections that this institution holds, from the most remote traces of Biscayan lineage to the evidence of the traditional ways of life of our people. Thus, it is possible to visit the halls dedicated to prehistoric times, the sea and fishing, the pastoral culture, the iron and gunsmith industry, commercial activity and the traditional trades and crafts such as pottery and textile making.
The exhibition is completed by an impressive scale-model of Biscay and excellent pieces of popular furniture and worship that are to be found spread throughout the Museum
