The modern State Theatre complex comprises five theatres and a public square. It is known for its excellent, top-class performances, be they classical ballet, symphony concerts, theatre or opera.

The State Theatre is situated in the heart of Pretoria's CBD, in the block formed by Church, Prinsloo, van der Walt and Pretorius Streets, and adjacent to Strijdom Square.
