This Garden is situated 8 km from the center of Pretoria and accommodates both subtropical and temperate plants, giving the visitor a glimpse of the beautiful and varied flora of the subcontinent. This Garden is also home to the National Herbarium, Mary Gunn Library and Bookshop, all housed in the "Building on the Hill." Plant lovers rejoice in these beautiful lush gardens. The verdant National Botanical Gardens feature indigenous South African plants. There is afternoon tea available in the Tea Garden. The Garden is open 365 days a year from 08:00 - 18:00.
