The Port Elizabeth Museum Complex encompasses many entertaining and educational options. Located in the complex in an Oceanarium, a Snake Park, a Tropical House and Museum.
About 160,000 people enjoy the dolphin show at the Oceanarium every year. There are two shows daily at 11:00 and 15:00. At the Aquarium, fish, sharks, turtles, and rays glide past behind glass. The Snake Park is home to snakes, crocodiles, lizards and tortoises. A Reptile Rotunda has educational displays. The Tropical House is inhabited by birds in bright plumage. Port Elizabeth Museum focuses on cultural and natural history. Exhibits include models of sailing ships, period costumes, Samurai costumes, musical instruments, marine mammals and fossils. Open daily except Christmas Day.
