To the west of the Todra Gorges, the Dades is the harshest of the southern valleys and exploring this region is only possible in a 4x4. It is possible to spend a day in the “secret valley,” which is flanked by the High Atlas and the Djebel Sarhro broken black-red volcanic rock and limestone pinnacles, and is famous for its roses.
