Majorelle GardenApprox. Time: 2 hours
Activity Level: Easy to Moderate

This sub-tropical garden enclosed by electric blue garden walls was created in 1920 by the French Orientalist painter Jacques Majorelle (1886-1962). Currently, the lovely French garden is owned and immaculately groomed by the fashion mogul Yves Saint Laurent. Truly an oasis of peace and tranquility in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh, the lush and verdant acres are speckled with pools and lined with flowers. The gardens are located on the grounds of the Majorelle museum, which also houses a fine collection of Islamic art.
