The incredible Koutoubia Minaret awakens all of Marrakesh each morning ringing forth with the call to prayer. Built in 1158, and soaring 70 meters in height, the Koutoubia Minaret is truly Marrakesh's spiritual beacon. It is one of the best examples of Moorish art, combining apparent simplicity with superb craftsmanship.
