Once the home to the Sultan Moulay Hassan, the lavish Dar Batha Palace now houses Fez's Museum of Moroccan Arts and Crafts. The museum contains an impressive collection of the exquisite handicrafts produced in different Moroccan regions. Its principal exhibits include beautifully intricate pottery created using a technique native to Morocco, masterfully woven carpets, bronzes, marble sculptures, Moroccan weapons, costumes, furniture and harnesses. The palace is surrounded by a series of strikingly serene gardens which stand in contrast to the constant bustle of the medina beyond its walls.Courtesy of the Morocco Tourism Board
