The Kasbah, an ancient citadel erected in 1540, stands proudly atop a hill at the perimeter of the city and offers the visitor a breathtaking view of Agadir and its crystalline shores. The fortress like structure is one of the few monuments from the past that survived the horrific earthquake of 1960.
