The conference centre is the tallest building in the city with 28 floors. It was built in 1972. There is a revolving restaurant at the top which functions only periodically. You can usually go up to the viewing level from where you can take photos-ask at the information desk on the ground floor. There can be stunning views of Mts. Kenya and Kilimanjaro on a clear day. It is free but it is usual to tip the guard.
