Giraffe Manor

Giraffe Manor Approx. Time: 4 hours
Activity Level: Easy to Moderate

There are not many places in Africa that can claim true international celebrity. The Giraffe Manor can. Since its founders, Jock and Betty Leslie-Melville, rescued a baby giraffe named Daisy from a heavily-poached area of western Kenya in 1974, their home has become a household name among wildlife lovers worldwide – and Daisy a star in her own right.

Today, Daisy’s home has been opened to the world – and provides what we feel is the very best place to begin or end your safari. Set in 120 acres of untouched indigenous forest eight miles from downtown Nairobi, The Giraffe Manor is a world away from the bustle of the city – the perfect location for unwinding after your arrival, or for collecting your uplifted thoughts before bidding ‘kwaheri’ to this magical land.
