An annex to the Imperial Palace with some remaining influences of the Edo castle. The Imperial Palace East Garden lies in the northeastern section of the grounds around the Palace and consists of the Honmaru (inner enclosure) and the Ninomaru (second enclosure), once the very center of the shogun's palace.
