Hakone - Stone Images of Buddha and stone castles in Motoha

A collection of ancient stone castles and images depicting Japanese legends. These are located near Lake Ashi and Lake Shojin. Graves of Japanese legends can be found in these castles. For instance Gorinto castle is said to be the grave for the Soga brothers, Hokyo Into castle is said to be the grave of Manju Tadano. Other than these one can find a huge stone of 3m in height, Nijugo Bosatsu, which are 26 stone images of Buddha, and other various stone images of Buddha, all being designated as Important Cultural Properties.
