Go back in time with the geisha's of yesteryears. Even today this district preserves an aspect of the Kanazawa of feudal times, showing the picturesque atmosphere of the wooden lattice fronts of old geisha houses. Most of the old architecture is lovingly preserved by the people who live there. Shima Geisha House, an elegant former geisha house, offers tourists a rare chance to view its interior.
