Built by the Italians, financed by the French, named by the Vatican, called after the Spanish, the Spanish Steps are the place for visitors to the eternal city to pause and gather themselves. It is also a beautiful example of harmonic architecture and in the springtime a gorgeous site to behold, with people wandering up and down amidst the countless blossoming flowers.
