The main attraction in the Square is the especially lovely entrance ramp, both designed by the Florentine Renaissance master Michelangelo. Known to the Romans as the Campidoglio, this square lies at the crest of Capitoline Hill between several museums and Rome’s administrative offices. Due to it’s perfect (and picturesque) proportions, the square and ramp are often used as the site for modern weddings.
