One of the larger and more interesting museums of antiquities in the world, the National Museum of Naples is universally known for its vast range of exhibits. It houses the relics of Pompeii and Herculaneum, including many fragile artifacts that survived the tremendous volcano blast. The Museum also owns the Farnese collection, which contains outstanding examples of classical sculpture.
