This lovely tower is perhaps unsurpassed in beauty in all of Italy. Situated directly beside the Duomo lies the exquisitely beautiful, unique, and surprisingly delicate looking Campanile (Bell Tower) designed by Giotto in the 14th century. It also offers another opportunity for the more athletic visitor to climb up its 400+stairs for a close up view of the Duomo as well as a gorgeous vista of the surrounding Tuscan countryside.
