After an early morning breakfast, you will journey to Jordan's most famous and wondrous attraction - the ancient stone city of Petra. This fascinating wonderland of temples, tombs and elaborate buildings carved out of solid rock is sure to thrill you. You will begin with a journey on horseback through the towering Siq, a magnificent and imposing trip through a narrow chasm with 600 foot cliffs towering directly overhead. Suddenly, the Siq will open and you will be confronted with the monumental al-Khazneh - a treasury carved out of the side of a mountain. This ancient series of tombs will lead you to the monastery of al-Deir perched upon the hilltop.
