Located in the Galilee Mountains, Safed is a quaint town with medieval appeal, mountain air, and history surrounded by mysticism. As one of the four sacred cities of Judaism the city’s history goes back to at least the second Temple period. Visitors can take walking tours of the Ancient Jewish Quarter taking in the sites that were collected over the centuries.
