The Mount of Beatitudes is a fantastic visit for outdoor enthusiasts and religious pilgrims alike. The rebuilt Byzantine church marks the spot where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount. The building is octagonal to represent the eight Beatitudes from the Sermon on the Mount. Symbols around the alter recall the attributes of a disciple which Jesus said would make one blessed.
