After Jesus left his home at Nazareth he in settled Capernaum to call and teach his first disciples. Today, millions of Christians come to this site every year to see Capernaum and its surrounding sites. Some of the most popular spots include the Bread and Fish Churches, the Batrus Church at Tabha and the mountain of Happiness. There are also restaurants in Capernaum that serve descendants of the fish Jesus ate, and other places that take people out on little wooden boats much like the ones in which Jesus traveled.
