Killorglin is situated on a hill over-looking the wide and graceful Laune, a river offering salmon and trout fishing. Dominating the landscape to the south are the Macgillycuddy's Reeks. Killorglin is the scene of the famous 'Puck Fair', which lasts for three days in August and is attended by thousands of people from all parts of Ireland.
