Blennerville Windmill is a living reminder of Ireland's rich industrial heritage. Featured in the Guinness Book of Records, as the "largest working windmill in these islands', visitors are guided by the miller through each element of the flour making process. Within the Windmill Visitor Centre there is a new exhibition and audio- visual presentation on Blennerville's colourful history. During the Great Famine (1845-50) Blennerville was the main port of emigration from County Kerry. The Windmill Courtyard has a craft shop, traditional pottery, enamel and metalwork craft units. The Windmill Restaurant is open daily from Easter-October 31.
