The National Museum at Collins Barracks is Ireland's new museum of the decorative arts and of the economic, social, political and military history of our country. There are a number of special thematic exhibitions - "Curator's Choice", "Out of Storage", "The Museum at Work" and "Museum Development". Other displays trace the development of the country through the ages. The various collections chronicle the development of a vast range of arts and crafts including ceramics, silver, glassware, period furniture and weaponry.
Alongside many of the exhibitions are interactive monitors that give comprehensive information on the artifacts on display.
