A fabulous example of Indo-Saracenic architecture, the tombs are built of lime and mortar and are delightfully decorated with marble inlay work. The structure was raised in honor of the Paigahs, a powerful, noble family who, to this day, is the only family in Hyderabad's history ever to have been permitted to maintain a private army.
