Ellora Caves

A meeting point of the Buddhists, Jains and Hindus, these 34 caves are the finest examples of rockcut caves in the country. The Kailasa Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is the largest monolith in the world. It is said to have taken 7,000 laborers 150 years to build the caves while working continuous shifts.
