Musee St-RaymondApprox. Time: 3 hours

Housed in a 15th century building, the Musée St Raymond is Toulouse's Archeology Museum. Following four years of renovation works, the museum opened its doors to the public on May 8, 1999. With a remarkably fine exterior, an attractive and original interior, and a very rich collection, the museum is now one of the jewels of the city's wide-ranging artistic heritage. The former 16th century college buildings were converted into a museum in 1891-1892. Reorganized in 1946-1950, the Musée St Raymond inherited numerous historical collections ranging from Etruscan, Greek and Roman to High-Medieval from the Toulouse Antiques Museum, (formerly in the Augustin cloisters).
