The Museum of Fine Arts in Orléans is counted amongst the richest and oldest museums in France. The remarkable collections of paintings, sculptures and objects of art provide a huge panorama of artistic creation in Europe from the 15th to the 20th Century. Alongside the exceptional Italian, Flemish and Dutch paintings, the French series brings together an important collection of works from the 17th and 18th Centuries. From this collection the cabinet of pastels stands out as particularly remarkable. The eclecticism of the 20th Century collection represents the wealth of this period, particularly as far as the sculptures are concerned.
