Installed in the 17th-century College of the Jesuits, the Museum of Natural history contains significant collections of prehistoric archeology: inscribed menhirs, collections of chalcolithic and campaniform ceramics, and Bronze hardware. Galleries of zoology (mammalian and reptiles) and of Ethnology add to the diverse array of exhibits. The Archaeological Museum of Nimes presents a refined collection of local and regional history. Many eras are represented, including the Iron Age, Gallo-Roman times and of the Middle Ages.
